Tonight's meeting had some great conversation and helped us to generate some ideas.
I hope that we can look towards setting up a "party" joint meeting sometime in January. If we host a party by inviting other teams and providing refreshments (I still like the dinner idea) I think we can set the stage for some great dialog and by playing hosts, we also may spark the idea that someone else can host the next meeting and feed us. (I know, I'm not really all about food, it just sounds that way). Suzanne's alternate suggestion, to invite the other teams and ask them to also bring food to share may work just as well or even better.
Well, what do you guys think? Let's keep the conversation going. thanks for listening.

PS.The revolution will not be televised......The revolution will be live.
Yeah. There was a lot of food for thought after last night's meeting. Both Sandy and Laura's comments really started me thinking along different lines. I think we DO need to do more talking a la study circle methods. Our three action groups are now quite small, and folding together for a time, even only once, seems like a very very good idea. Also want to say that I'm really glad to have Leticia in the group, and hope she will stay with us. She brings a very good perspective that we need. So, for a combined group talk/dinner night, how much time do you think we need? I'm somewhere between Sandy's minimal 1hour and Tom's maximal half day, myself. People seem to linger whenever there's a potluck, so if we had a place (MHS?) where we could be free to linger, maybe like Sandy said those who want to stay longer could do so.... If we had a room where we could bring in our dishes to share and set them up on a table, then we could eat and talk at the same time, couldn't we?
Rambling thoughts as they percolate up ..... sorry if I'm vague...

Well, if we want to meet at West Oak, I will volunteer my room and we can have as many tables and chairs as we need. It would be cozy for a gathering of this size (15-20??)
Hey! Where are all the other bloggers?
I, too, am so glad to have Leticia.

West Oak sounds good to me. It would also fix the parking issue for the larger number of people involved.
While you really don't want m directly involved in any of the food preparation (just ask Sarah); would the plan be a real meal or just snacks and finger-food? If there is enough to choose from we may be better set to deal with the smaller setting. Kind of a cocktail party minus the cocktails - everyone walks around grazing and talking. It may make our time window more effective.
What, no cocktails?
